Program Overview
Since 2010, Kalos Agon Intl has taught hundreds of students self-defense and combatives from a Christian foundation — grappling, striking, street-fight survival philosophy, and weapons training, including pistol, carbine, knife, and traditional martial-arts weapons. Firearm safety and live-fire instruction are an established part of that curriculum, taught under the supervision of a licensed Washington State FFL Type 07 in Enumclaw.
Our firearms instruction emphasizes safe handling, muzzle discipline, trigger discipline, safe loading and unloading, range safety, supervised live fire, and practical shooting proficiency. Every live-fire exercise is directly observed by an instructor from start to finish.
Program at a Glance
Since 2010, Kalos Agon Intl’s training and ministry work — carried out alongside partner organization E2Ten — has extended across the United States and to partner communities on five continents. Documented engagement spans North and Central America, including the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica; South America, including Peru; Africa, including Liberia and Rwanda; the Middle East, including Jordan; and Asia-Pacific, including Mongolia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Papua New Guinea. This international footprint is reinforced by shared leadership between the two organizations — Kalos Agon instructors Dr. Thomas Dean and Brian Hiller, PA-C, serve as President and a board member of E2Ten, respectively — and reflects an organizational reach well beyond a single local training program.

Training Standards
Handling fundamentals and safety rules are established before any live-fire exercise.

Washington Program Development
Kalos Agon Intl is developing a Washington firearm safety curriculum designed around the training subjects identified in RCW 9.41.1132.

Organizational Reach
Since 2010, Kalos Agon Intl has built a training program with reach well beyond a single local community. Our combatives and self-defense ministry has engaged missionaries, churches, and partner organizations worldwide — illustrated by activity such as the security-police combatives training described in Tacna, Peru above. Kalos Agon Intl program under e2Ten has also taught combatives training in Thailand, Cambodia, Rwanda, Guatemala, and Mongolia.
Firearms-training participation is documented separately: individuals participating in KA firearms-related instruction have represented seven U.S. states, and firearms training itself has been supervised on-site under a licensed Washington State FFL Type 07 in Enumclaw since well before Washington’s 2027 permit-to-purchase requirement.
